More dwarves

It is not really common anymore, but back in the day of Dwarf Fortress, cats were able to breed with quite the speed, forcing the rendering speed of the game to halt.

Dwarf Fortress is a rather simple game, and one can easily change a creatures abilities in the txt files belonging to the game.

One such solution when there is an abundance of cats is to set their internal temperature to be around the surface of the sun.

This effectively kills all cats, and pretty much everything else in close proximity.


Granted, this might be changed in the newer versions.

Dwarf derailing

Practically the logic end of every forum thread in existance. Horribly derailing and ending the whole thing in flames.

Here is a speedpainting of a dwarf. In the background is a tentacle, mostly due to the fact that there is a lot nasty things living underground.

I am talking about Dwarf Fortress here.

A little thing about Dwarf Fortress

Dwarf Fortress is a game where one control dwarves. Now these dwarves have certain qualities.
1. They do whatever they are told as long as they have beer.
2. They are rather absentminded.

It has a interface based on 2-d rom above, whereas one can change the levels of depth. Now, the graphics aren't really amazing, as it uses the ASCII letters to the various creatures and items within game. (Though one can use graphic mods to see the characters differently.)

The interesting thing is however tha every character is described. Personality, looks, jobs, family and how they feel.

The best part of this game is the community though. They create amazing art and stories based on the games they play.
